The Auckland Chinese Families Network (ACFN) was established in 2008 as a registered charitable organization. Our mission is to assist ethnic Chinese residents in Auckland, particularly children, in overcoming language, cultural, and social barriers, actively participating in community life, and fostering a sense of belonging and engagement. The organization is entirely volunteer-run and is dedicated to providing support and resources for Chinese families to help them better adapt to life in New Zealand and engage in social activities.
We warmly welcome all Chinese families to participate in our activities. Our goal is to create a welcoming community environment for Chinese families, helping them build a sense of belonging while fostering a deeper understanding and integration of their parents’ traditional culture and social background. Through a variety of cultural and social activities, we aim to boost their confidence and help them no longer feel lost or isolated.
We have carefully designed a series of child-centered activities, including Chinese cultural experiences and indoor and outdoor parent-child interactions, with the goal of bringing a profound sense of happiness and fulfillment to Chinese families. In addition, we focus on families facing barriers such as language, culture, psychological challenges, or transportation issues, ensuring they can also enjoy these activities, strengthen family bonds, and promote family harmony and well-being.
